How can i tell if there are new posts since my last visit?

For this purpose, let's suppose you are using the Bright Forest theme.

1. Sign in and click the Forum button, then scroll down and look at the "pine cones". 
2. On boards with New Posts, the pine cone will be brown.  On boards without new posts, the pine cone will look like a shadow.
3. Click on a brown pine cone and that will take you to a page with all the threads for that board.
4. Click on the scrolling red banner that says "new" and that will take you to the new posts for that thread. 
You will have to do this for each Board and each thread in that Board.

There is also a clickable link that says "Show unread posts since last visit" at the top right of each page right under where it says Hello and your username.  Click that and it will show all unread posts since your last visit.
